The official One UI 6.0 (Android 14) update is now rolling out to the Galaxy Z Flip 5, Samsung's latest clamshell foldable. The first stable One UI 6.0 release was for the Galaxy S23 series, and Samsung later brought it to devices like the Galaxy S22, Galaxy Z Fold 5, and Galaxy A54, and it is now the Z Flip 5's turn.

The rollout has started with the US, and it will be available in more countries soon.

Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets stable Android 14 (One UI 6.0) update in the US for carrier-locked units

Right now, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 is getting the Android 14-based stable One UI 6.0 update in the US. It is specifically for the carrier-locked version of the foldable phone on Verizon's network, bearing firmware version F731USQU1BWK9. However, we expect that the update will also reach other carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip 5 units within the next few days. It is a major update with its download size reaching over 3GB, so it is better to download it through a Wi-Fi network.

This update also brings the November 2023 security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip 5. It fixes over 65 security flaws uncovered in the previous version of the software. To download the update on your Galaxy Z Flip 5, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. The firmware file for this update will be available in our firmware database shortly.
