Samsung has released the stable Android 14 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the US. This update is avaialble for factory-unlocked units of the foldable smartphone in the country. Moreover, the update is currently only available to those Galaxy Z Flip 5 users who were beta testing One UI 6.0.
Unlocked Galaxy Z Flip 5 gets stable Android 14 update in the US
The stable update for the Galaxy Z Flip 5 comes with firmware version ending BWK9 (via @SamsungSWUpdate). The update comes with a changelog that also mentions that the One UI 6.0 Beta Program is ending for the device and Samsung won't release any more beta updates. Samsung has also thanked users who participated in the beta program. Since beta testers are now getting the stable Android 14 update, other users who are not in the beta program will get the update soon.
If you enrolled your Galaxy Z Flip 5 in the One UI 6.0 Beta Program and live in the US, you can now check for the stable Android 14 update. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update and tap Download and install. The update is available on T-Mobile's network.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5 has already received the Android 14 update in several other regions, so it shouldn't be long before the update is releaesed in the US. The Galaxy Z Fold 5, too, could get the stable Android 14 update in the US. Other Samsung phones could also get the stable update soon.
