Samsung is rumored to announce the Galaxy S24 series in mid-January 2024, which means we are more than a month away from the launch event. But most of the specifications of the upcoming high-end devices have leaked already, along with their possible design. A real-life image of the Galaxy S24 Ultra was also leaked recently. Now, we can also have an idea as to how its S Pen would look like.
Galaxy S24 Ultra's S Pen passes FCC certification process
The Galaxy S24 Ultra's S Pen stylus has passed through the FCC certification process (via MySmartPrice) in the US, revealing its design and other details. The S Pen carries model number EJ-PS928 and its FCC ID was A3LEJPS928. The device's design was also revealed in FCC's documents, showcasing a design similar to the S Pen that came bundled with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It has a sharp but plasticky nib, an indent on the top, and a button. It features Bluetooth LE connectivity for gestures, and its Bluetooth LE antenna's location is displayed in the image below.
The S Pen can be seen in its Grey/Graphite color in the image above, but it should be available in more colors. Its frequency range, as per FCC documents, is 2,402 – 2,408MHz, while its maximum RF (Radio Frequency) output power is 1.082mW. You can see more details in the images below. It isn't clear whether the S Pen carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Rumored Galaxy S24 Ultra specifications
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with an almost flat design. It reportedly uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy processor, 8GB/12GB RAM, 256GB/512GB/1TB storage, a 5,000mAh battery, and stereo speakers. It could have a 200MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide camera, a 10MP telephoto camera, a 50MP telephoto camera, and a 12MP selfie camera. It could also feature two-way satellite connectivity for emergency texting and calling.
