Apple and Paramount are in a discussion to offer a bundle of streaming services that will provide access to Apple TV+ and Paramount+, claims a new report from the Wall Street Journal (via MacRumors). According to the publication, this bundle will cost less amount of money than paying for Apple TV+ and Paramount+ separately. Reportedly, the discussion is in the early stage, and at this point, it is unclear what form it could take.
Lately, people have been canceling streaming subscriptions and switching between services more frequently. However, they don’t seem to be doing that with streaming bundles. That’s why many entertainment companies have been joining hands to offer bundles of streaming services. Now, Apple and Paramount are also planning to jump on the bandwagon. This approach seems to increase their profitability and help them remain competitive.
If the deal between Apple and Paramount goes through, Apple might offer Paramount+ as a free-to-access channel on the Apple TV platform as a part of the bundle. Currently, Apple TV+ and Paramount+ cost $9.99 and $11.99 per month respectively in the US. That means subscribing to two services separately will set you back by $21.98 every month. Since bundles are usually cheaper, expect the Apple TV+ and Paramount+ bundle to be priced around $15/month.
