A few months ago, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg unveiled Meta AI. It is a chatbot developed by Meta that is based on LLaMA, the company's in-house foundational and conversational LLM (Large Language Model). Back then, the company announced that it would be made available soon in its messaging apps, and that has now happened.
Meta AI chatbot is now available in all of Meta's messaging platforms in the US
Meta AI chatbot is now available on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. However, it is currently available only to users in the US. If you're in the US, you can start conversing with Meta AI virtual assistant by starting a new conversation and selecting Create an AI chat in Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp. You can also summon it inside chat threads by typing @MetaAI, followed by the command you want help with.
Meta AI can fetch answers to your questions and create images based on text prompts. It also has a new feature called Reimagine, which can use an AI-generated image and allows your friends to change it further using text prompts. Text prompts can be added by clicking and holding the AI-generated image. It can also be used to discover Reels on Facebook and Instagram.
The AI-powered virtual assistant can create birthday greetings, edit feed posts, and even draft your profile description on Facebook Dating. It can also convert landscape images to portraits to upload on Stories on Facebook and Instagram. Creators can use Meta AI to offer replies to their community members by providing personalized drafts. Meta's text-to-image generator is now available on the web as a standalone tool, and everyone can access it.
