Samsung took a long time to get started with the One UI 6 rollout for foldable Galaxy phones launched before 2023, but the company has been picking up the pace over the last few days. After releasing the One UI 6 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the USA and Korea, Samsung is making it available for European users.
Multiple European markets are getting One UI 6 this week. The update comes with firmware version F926BXXU5GWL1, has a 2.5GB download size over the air, and packs all the security fixes from the December 2023 security patch.
It's got all the cool stuff from One UI 6 and Android 14 as well, which you can find out about in our detailed guide or by watching the video below. Just don't expect to see any foldable-focused features or improvements, as Samsung keeps those exclusive to the x.1.1 One UI updates that accompany new Z Fold and Z Flip smartphones in the back half of each year.
Download the One UI 6 update on your Galaxy Z Fold 3 over the air by opening its Settings app, selecting Software update, and tapping Download and install. If available in your country, the update should start downloading right away. If not, be sure to check again later. You can also turn to our firmware archive for an alternate way of upgrading to Android 14 that requires a Windows PC and a USB cable.
