The Galaxy S24 series feels like it's just around the corner. Samsung confirmed it will announce the flagship on January 17 in San Jose, California, and prospective buyers can register for the device online.

Official pricing details have not been revealed, but a report from Korea claims to have uncovered how much the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will cost in Samsung's backyard.

Higher prices for some memory configurations

According to the report, the Galaxy S24 and S24+ with 256GB of storage will cost the same as the 2023 models. However, the 512GB variants will cost more, and the Galaxy S24 Ultra will get a price increase across the board.

  • 256GB Galaxy S24 = 1,155,000 won ($880). Same price as the 256GB S23.
  • 512GB Galaxy S24 = 1,298,000 won ($989). 22,000 won ($16,77) pricier than the 512GB Galaxy S23.
  • 256GB Galaxy S24+ = 1,353,000 won ($1,031). Same price as the 256GB S24+.
  • 512GB Galaxy S24+ = 1,496,000 won ($1,140). 22,000 won ($16,77) pricier than the 512GB Galaxy S23+.
  • 256GB Galaxy S24 Ultra = 1,698,400 won ($1294). 99,000 won ($75) pricier than the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
  • 512GB Galaxy S24 Ultra = 1,841,400 won ($1,403). 121,000 won ($92) pricier than the 512GB S23 Ultra.

These are supposedly post-launch prices. However, the report also says pre-order bonuses for the Galaxy S24 series include free storage upgrades. In addition, pre-order customers will be able to choose a discount on the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro wireless earbuds or a 1-year Samsung Care+ coupon.

Fortunately for customers in Korea, the Galaxy S24 series in this region should be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip rather than the Exynos 2400. The Snapdragon solution is expected to outperform the Exynos SoC.

More importantly, Samsung says the Galaxy S24 series will offer a completely new mobile experience powered by AI. Exactly how these new AI features will change the user experience remains to be seen, but they will require Samsung and Google accounts and, in some cases, an active Internet connection.
