Over the past few months, there have been conflicting reports about the chips that will be used in the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+. Every report stated that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will exclusively use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, but it was still unclear if it is a higher-clocked version or the stock version of the chip. Now, a new report has reiterated what chips will be used in the Galaxy S24 series for European countries.

Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ will have Exynos chips in Europe

While there have been reports about the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ going back to the roots with Exynos chips in European and Asian countries, some reports claimed that select countries could get variants with the Snapdragon chip. However, a new report from WinFuture claims that the Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24+ that will be launched in European countries feature the Exynos processor. The report also reveals that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will use the ‘Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy' processor, which has a higher-clocked prime CPU core compared to the stock version.

The Exynos 2400 is a 4nm chip made by Samsung Foundry. It reportedly features a prime CPU core (Cortex-X4) clocked at 3.2GHz, two Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 2.9GHz, three Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 2.6GHz, and four Cortex-A520 CPU cores clocked at 1.95GHz. It means the chip's CPU cores run at slightly lower frequencies compared to the stock version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This information is important as Samsung is yet to officially unveil the complete specifications of the Exynos 2400.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 vs Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy: What's different?

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy chip reportedly has one Cortex-X4 CPU core clocked at 3.39GHz, three Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 3.1GHz, two Cortex-A720 CPU cores clocked at 2.9GHz, and two Cortex-A520 CPU cores clocked at 2.2GHz. That means only the prime CPU core of the For Galaxy version of the chip is clocked higher than the stock chip, while all other CPU cores are clocked lower.

No, the Snapdragon version of Galaxy S24 won't launch in India

Some rumors claim that the Galaxy S24+ could feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy chip in India and some other markets. However, those rumors are baseless, and unless there is some proof of the existence of the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S24+, you should not believe those rumors. From what we've seen, the SM-S926E version of the Galaxy S24+ doesn't exist; only the SM-S926B does for global markets (Africa, Europe, and most of Asia).
