A few months ago, SamMobile got word that Samsung is laying down the plans for a 2024 release of a new pair of Pro-branded wireless earbuds. Now, we're seeing this rumor gaining a little bit more traction.
@rquandt recently confirmed in a post on social media platform X that the Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds are incoming.
The source could not share a timeframe as to when the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro wireless earbuds might debut officially, but “they're in the works.”
A proper sequel to the Buds 2 Pro
The Galaxy Buds 2 Pro are the latest Pro-branded earbuds from Samsung, but they're getting a bit old by now. Samsung released them in August 2022. A year later, the company set aside the Pro series and introduced its first-ever Fan Edition wireless earbuds.
Although the Galaxy Buds FE are great for the lower price, they're not meant to replace or succeed the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro. You could say they don't sound quite as good, plus, they lack wireless charging for the carrying case.
Not much is known about the upcoming Galaxy Buds 3 Pro and how they'll improve the Pro formula, but some recent reports say the new earbuds could feature on-device AI for real-time language translation.
When the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro might be released is anyone's guess. However, with the first big Unpacked event of the year behind us, we wouldn't be surprised if the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro debut alongside Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Fold 6 foldable phones later this summer.
For now, if you want to experience mobile AI on-device and in the cloud, the new Galaxy S24 series from Samsung brings tons of new AI features that lift language barriers and help users capture the best photos and videos.
