When Samsung released the Galaxy A15 5G in India at the end of December, the company offered the phone in two memory configurations. Now, Samsung has released another, cheaper version.
The Galaxy A15 5G debuted late last year with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage. The 8GB+128GB model had a launch price of INR 19,499 ($235).
Now, Samsung has introduced a cheaper Galaxy A15 5G variant equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. It is available in India for INR 17,999 ($217).
Has Samsung changed any other specs?
Aside from the lower memory spec, this new Galaxy A15 5G for India stays the same. The phone still has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080, 90Hz, and 800 nits of brightness, and the panel still has an Infinity-U camera cutout.
Likewise, the phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chip and a 5000mAh battery with 25W fast charging. It's also equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 50MP primary camera, and a 13MP selfie shooter embedded in the Infinity-U cutout.
On the software side, the Galaxy A15 5G runs Android 14 with One UI 6.0 on top. It will receive four major Android OS upgrades throughout its lifetime, and Samsung will support the phone with five years of security patches.
