Earlier today, we exclusively confirmed a bunch of juicy details about the next Galaxy Unpacked event, including the date on which it should take place. The only puzzle piece missing is Galaxy Unpacked's location, but a new report from Korea appears to be filling in the blanks.
Although we can't confirm this detail as of now, the report from Korea says Samsung's 2nd big launch event of the year might unfold in Paris, France. The date, we already know, is set for July 10.
France seems like the perfect location, in theory. Samsung is an Olympics partner and a major sponsor of the 2024 Summer Olympics, which will kick off in Paris on July 26.
Samsung decided to host Galaxy Unpacked before the Olympics, and this new rumor explains why. If Paris is the location, it makes sense for Samsung, as an official Olympics sponsor, to host Unpacked before the Summer Olympics rather than during or after.
A first for Samsung Galaxy Unpacked
Although Samsung held Unpacked events in Europe and all over the world, the company never hosted one in France. Samsung first came to Europe in the year 2011 and announced the Galaxy S2 in Spain. Later the same year, the company unveiled the original Galaxy Note in Berlin, Germany.
Now, if these rumors are true, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6, as well as the Galaxy Ring, in Paris, France, on July 10. And what a perfect fit for this new fitness and health tracker, i.e., the Galaxy Ring, to be announced two weeks before the Summer Olympics.
If the Ring's presentation at MWC 2024 in Barcelona is anything to go by, Samsung will have more rings than the Olympic symbol. The Galaxy Ring showed up at MWC in three color options and nine sizes.
Samsung said the new wearable should last for roughly one week on a single charge. This new wearable will also introduce four new sleep-related features that are not yet available for Galaxy Watches.
