Samsung has released a new security update to the Galaxy A73. This higher mid-range smartphone is now getting the March 2024 security update. Various other high-end and mid-range Galaxy phones have already received this update.
Galaxy A73 gets March 2024 security update in Asia
The latest software update for the Galaxy A73 is now available in Malaysia. The update comes bearing firmware version A736BXXS6DXC3, which has a relatively smaller file size because it only brings security fixes. According to Samsung's own security bulletin, the March 2024 security update fixes around 44 security flaws discovered in the previous software versions.
If you have a Galaxy A73 and live in Malaysia, you can now check for the new update. You can do that by opening the Settings app on your phone, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually using the Odin tool on a Windows OS computer.
The Galaxy A73 will likely get new features with the upcoming One UI 6.1 update. The update is expected to roll out before the end of the first half of this year, so expect it to arrive in the next couple of months. You can watch One UI 6.1 features in our in-depth video below.
The Galaxy A73 was launched in 2022 with Android 12 onboard. Later that year, the device received the Android 13 update. In late 2023, the Galaxy A73 received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. It gets new security updates once every three months.
