Epic Games has announced that it plans to bring the Epic Games Store (EPC) to Android and iOS later this year. As the name suggests, EGS will be an application marketplace offering games. While the developer didn’t say anything about it offering Fortnite, we expect the title to take center stage of EGS.

In a post on X announcing the news, Epic Games says “Same fair terms, available to all developers, on a true multi-platform store –  with amazing games for everyone.” In a blog post about the matter, the developer says “Mobile developers will benefit from the same fair terms on EGS for PC: 88/12 revenue share and the same programs you can leverage to keep 100% of revenue using your own payments for in-app purchases, Epic First Run, and Now On Epic. More on this soon!

As you might know, Google removed Fortnite from the Play Store. With that, there are now two ways you can get the game on your Android phone/tablet. First is to download the Epic Games app from the Galaxy Store, and then download Fortnite from that app. The second is to download the Epic Games app from the developer’s website and then download Fortnite from the app. Apple has also removed Fortnite from the App Store. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get the game on iOS.

Once the Epic Games Store comes to Android, people will not have to download the Epic Games app from the Galaxy Store or the developer's website. They will be able to get the Epic Games Store from the Play Store directly, and then get Fortnite from it. As for people iPhone users, they will once again be able to play Fortnite on their devices once the Epic Games Store becomes available on iOS.
