The new software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G is now available for the carrier-locked units in the USA. It comes bearing firmware version G781USQSEHXC1 and is now available on DISH, Metro PCS, Sprint, and T-Mobile networks in the country. It brings the March 2024 security patch that fixes 44 security vulnerabilities that were discovered in the previous software version.
It is just a security update and has a relatively small download size. To download the update, open the Settings app on your phone, navigate to Software update, and tap Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy S20 FE 5G was launched in mid-2020 with Android 10 pre-installed. The phone received the Android 11 update later that year, the Android 12 update in late 2021, and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It didn't receive the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update. If you want to use Android 14, you should consider upgrading to the Galaxy S23 FE.
