We can add another phone to the list of Galaxy devices that have received the One UI 6.1 update. Availability of the latest version of One UI has been increasing steadily over the last few days, and it is now out for the Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro.
The Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro is receiving One UI 6.1 in some markets, including several European countries. The update can be identified by the build number G736BXXU5EXD5. It is bundled with the April 2024 security patch, in addition to all the One UI 6.1 features and changes.
Galaxy Xcover 6 Pro One UI 6.1 features and changes
One UI 6.1 brings improved image clipping in the Gallery app, the ability to copy and paste elements from one image to another, playback speed adjustment for more types of videos, frames and effects for home screen and lock screen wallpapers, more lock screen widgets, customizable alarm alerts, and better sharing between Samsung and non-Samsung Android devices.
It also introduces passkey support for websites in Samsung Internet, new accessibility feature that highlights outlines of objects in images and videos, the option to add background colors and images for full-screen calendar alerts, and new battery protection options.
Some One UI 6.1 features, like wallpaper support for Always On Display, are not available for the Xcover 6 Pro. The same applies to all Galaxy AI features, such as generative wallpapers, Circle to Search, and Chat Assistant. Those are exclusive to Samsung's flagship smartphones.
