Samsung has released the One UI 6.1 update to the Galaxy M34. This new One UI version is rolling out to the mid-range phone in India, and other countries could get access to it over the next few weeks.
The update also brings the May 2024 security patch to the Galaxy M34.
Galaxy M34 One UI 6.1 update is now available in India
The One UI 6.1 update is now available to the Galaxy M34 in India, and it comes with firmware version M346BXXU4CXE1. It has a download size of around 2.2GB and includes the May 2024 security patch. It brings many new features to the Galaxy M34, and those features don't include any Galaxy AI feature that was seen in the Galaxy S24 and other high-end devices.
If you have a Galaxy M34 and live in India, you can now check for the new software update by opening the Settings app, navigating to Software update, and tapping Download and install. You can also wait for the new firmware file to hit our database and then download it and flash it manually. However, you would need a Windows PC and the Odin tool to use the manual method.
Galaxy M34 One UI 6.1 update: New features
Samsung has introduced improved image editing to the Galaxy M34 with the One UI 6.1 update. Those features include copying an object from one image in the Gallery app and pasting it into another. It also improves the accuracy of image clipping. You can export video editing projects from Samsung Studio to another Galaxy device and continue editing there.
You can add more widgets to the lock screen and a portrait effect to the wallpaper if it consists of people or pets. You can also add custom fonts for the lock screen clock widget. You can customize alarm and reminder alerts. For alarm alerts, you can use AR Emojis, images, and videos. For reminder alerts, you can choose a custom background or color.

You can reorder Modes in the Modes & Routines app, turn off/on Modes from the home screen, and use more conditions for Routines. You can also use the new Quick Share (merged with Google's Nearby Share).
