The Samsung Find app allows you to remotely find your Samsung devices on a map, play a sound those devices to make it easier for you to find them, lock those devices to stop anyone from accessing them, and erase data on those devices to prevent anyone from accessing sensitive information on them. Well, the tech giant is now working on upgrading the Samsung Find app with the ability to perform some of those actions on an upcoming product from the company, the Galaxy Ring.

According to a new report from Android Authority, the latest version of the Samsung Find app for Android (probably version 1.2.11) contains strings of code which suggest that Samsung is working on equipping the app with the ability to find the Galaxy Ring, turn on a light on the wearable to make it easier for you to find the device, and put it in the Lost mode, which will prevent anyone else from using the Galaxy Ring or accessing your information on it in case you lose the wearable.

The story continues after the video…

When will Samsung launch the Galaxy Ring?

These features will come in very handy when you lose your Galaxy Ring. So far, Samsung hasn’t given anyone the chance to use the upcoming wearable, and therefore, there’s no information if the new set of features in the Samsung Find app for the Galaxy Ring is live or not. Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Ring at the next Galaxy Unpacked event, which will take place on 10 July 2024, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7 FE, Galaxy Watch 7, and Galaxy Watch 7 Ultra.
