Last month, Samsung released One UI 6.1 to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE. However, the company had made the new software available only in Korea. Well, the company is now expanding the availability of the new software for the tablet to the United States.

Samsung is rolling out One UI 6.1 to the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE for the United States, which carries the model number SM-X518U. The new firmware carries version X518USQU3BXDG.

You can check if the update is available for your device by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. If you don’t see an update, you don’t have to be disappointed, as the new firmware is also available in our database. You can download the file and install it manually.

What does One UI 6.1 for Galaxy Tab S9 FE bring?

We’ve already discussed about all the new features that One UI 6.1 brings in a separate article. To summarize, it brings new features for customizing the wallpaper and UI, searching for content in the gallery, editing images and videos, protecting the tablet’s battery and your data in the device, and managing health. You can watch our video below to learn more about it.

Sadly, One UI 6.1 for Galaxy Tab S9 FE does not bring Galaxy AI to the tablet, which is a collection of AI-powered features. You can read more about it here. On a related note, Samsung hasn’t rolled out One UI 6.1 to the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ in the United States. That being said, we expect the company to roll out the new software to the tablet in the regions in the next few days.
