Last night, Apple showcased an impressive feature called Image Wand. It is a Generative AI-powered feature that converts a rough sketch into a proper drawing. It is coming to iPads with iPadOS 18. However, Samsung could one-up Apple by bringing a similar feature to its faster.
Samsung could bring AI-powered improvements to rough sketches with One UI 6.1.1
Reliable tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce on X) has revealed that Galaxy AI on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will be able to convert graffiti (rough sketch) into a proper drawing/image with the help of Galaxy AI. This feature will help people make their notes more visually appealing and professional-looking.
This feature could also be released to One UI 6.1.1-compatible Galaxy Tab series devices since they are compatible with the S Pen and have better drawing capabilities.
In the images below, you can see how Apple's Image Wand feature converts a rough sketch of architecture (left) into a proper image (right).
Since the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will run Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 out of the box and will launch next month, it will have the feature ready to be used by users before Apple does.
The story continues after the video below.
This feature will likely be powered by Generative AI, similar to Apple's Image Wand. No one knows how well this feature would work, as Samsung hasn't even announced it, and Apple said its “Apple Intelligence”-powered features will come to iPads, iPhones, and Macs later this year.
