Samsung has launched a new kids-friendly tablet—Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Kids Edition—in Russia. It is a successor to the Galaxy Tab A Kids Edition (2019) that was launched two years ago and a customized version of the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. It comes with a drop-proof protective case, kids-friendly content, and educational apps and games.
The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Kids Edition features an 8.7-inch LCD display with 1,340 x 800 pixels resolution, an 8MP rear-facing camera with autofocus, and a 5MP front-facing camera. It runs Android 11-based One UI 3 out of the box and uses the Mediatek Helio P22T octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, and has a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
Naturally, Samsung has pre-installed the Samsung Kids mode on this tablet, and it comes with extensive parental controls. The company has also used a voice assistant called Marusya, which is customized to be safe for kids.
The Galaxy Tab A7 Lite Kids Edition's connectivity features include GPS, dual-band Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, a USB Type-C port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has stereo speakers, too. It is powered by a 5,100mAh battery and supports 15W fast charging. It is priced at RUB 14,990, which is equivalent to around $204.
