The first official press render depicting the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra has leaked (via @BenGeskin). It should finally answer some burning questions related to the Ultra model's camera housing design.
The render gives us a closer look at the back of the Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra, and you'll probably be happy to learn that the Galaxy S22 Ultra doesn't have that egregious camera housing seen in the first unofficial renders. Those renders were based on case specifications, but this new leak supposedly consists of Samsung's official press material that the company's preparing ahead of the February unveiling.
No P-shaped/Tetris block camera housing for the Galaxy S22 Ultra
The first early Galaxy S22 Ultra leak had the right dimensions, but it wasn't very accurate on the finer details. That's how we got the P-shaped camera design that, hopefully, will never be put into production.
The Galaxy S22 Ultra, as seen in the first official leaked press render, looks gorgeous in contrast. The Galaxy S22+ is also slick, but the design looks more familiar, as it borrows from the Galaxy S21+.
This is also our first look at the Rose Gold color for the Galaxy S22 Ultra — previously rumored for the Galaxy S22 and S22+. It appears to cover the back panel as well as the metal frame and camera rings, giving the Galaxy S22 Ultra a stylish look that could be received well by Galaxy Note enthusiasts.
There's no view of the lower edge, so there's no official confirmation of an S Pen slot in this render, but more will probably follow, so stay tuned.
