A couple of weeks ago, Samsung had released the Android 12 update to the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Today, the company has released a new update to the Galaxy S20 FE 5G, and it brings the latest security patch to the smartphone.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE 5G comes with firmware version G781BXXS4DVA2. The update includes the January 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security related vulnerabilities, as explained in Samsung's documentation. The new software is available in France, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Nordic countries, Poland, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Baltic region, and the Czech Republic.
If you are a Galaxy S20 FE 5G user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.
Samsung had launched the Galaxy S20 FE and the Galaxy S20 FE 5G in late 2020 with Android 10. The smartphone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update early last year and the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update a few days ago.
