A few days ago, Samsung had revealed that it would announce the next-generation Galaxy S series smartphones in February. However, the company had not confirmed the exact date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event. Now, the Galaxy S22 launch date and time have been leaked.

Reliable leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks) has published an image that reveals the Galaxy S22 launch date and timing. The upcoming high-end smartphones from Samsung will go official on February 9, 2022, at 15:00 (or 3:00 PM). However, the image doesn't reveal the time zone. The leaked image also shows a glass cube with an S placed inside. It also mentions the tagline ‘The Epic Standard' in a handwritten font, probably referring to the merger of the Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series.

Yesterday, the pricing for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22+, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra was leaked.

Galaxy S22 series specifications

The Galaxy S22 Ultra has been leaked already, showcasing a Galaxy Note 20 Ultra-like boxier design and an S Pen slot. The phone will reportedly feature just 2.8ms latency for the S Pen. Samsung hasn't even sacrificed the battery capacity to include the S Pen slot on the Galaxy S22 Ultra. The phone is also rumored to feature a 6.8-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, Exynos 2200 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB/512GB storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.

The Galaxy S22 and the Galaxy S22+ will feature 6.06-inch and 6.55-inch 120Hz Super AMOLED screens with Full HD+ resolution. The phones are expected to feature a 50MP+12MP+10MP triple-camera setup on the rear and a 10MP selfie camera. The Galaxy S22 Ultra could have a 108MP+12MP+10MP+10MP rear-facing camera setup and a 40MP selfie camera. The Galaxy S22 is powered by a 3,800mAh battery, while the Galaxy S22+ could have a 4,500mAh battery.

All three smartphones are rumored to feature an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader, IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, a metal frame, Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the display, stereo speakers, 5G, NFC, 15W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. The Galaxy S22+ and the Galaxy S22 Ultra could support up to 45W fast charging.
