Samsung released new software updates to many smartphones today, including the Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy S20 FE, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy S21, and the Galaxy Z Flip. Now, the company has released the update to the Galaxy S21 FE in the US.
The carrier-locked version of the Galaxy S21 FE (SM-G990U) is getting the software update with firmware version G990USQS2BVA4. It is rolling out on Comcast and T-Mobile's networks in the US, but more carriers are expected to release it over the next few days. The February 2022 security patch, included in the update, fixes over 60 vulnerabilities.
If you have a Galaxy S21 FE and live in the US, you can now download the new software update for your smartphone by heading over to Settings » Software update and clicking Download and install. You can also resort to downloading the latest firmware file from our firmware section and flashing it manually, but don't forget to backup your data.
The South Korean firm launched the Galaxy S21 FE last month, and we've reviewed it already. The smartphone comes with Android 12-based One UI 4.0 out of the box, and it will get four major Android OS updates in the future.
