A few weeks ago, Samsung unveiled new Galaxy Book laptops at its MWC 2022 event. Last week, Amazon started hinting towards their launch in the Indian market. Now, Samsung India has announced that it will launch six Galaxy Book laptops in the country.
Sandeep Poswal, General Manager and Head of New Computing Business at Samsung India, told Gadgets360 that the South Korean firm would launch the Galaxy Book Go, Galaxy Book 2, Galaxy Book 2 360, Galaxy Book 2 Business, Galaxy Book 2 Pro, and the Galaxy Book 2 Pro 360 in India on March 17. All these laptops will run Windows 11 out of the box.
With the Galaxy Book Go, Samsung is targeting the young crowd, and it will likely be priced below the INR 40,000 (around $522) mark. The company will sell Galaxy Book laptops through its own website and Amazon.in. To attract buyers, Samsung will have cashback offers and provide bundled gifts with its new laptops.
Poswal said that the company decided to bring laptops to the Indian market after eight years due to consumer demand and feedback. He said, “We are entering the market in a big way to disrupt the way consumers are using [laptops], and hence our tagline is ‘the new way to PC'.”
The company will offer a hotkey on all its new devices that will help customers get remote assistance to solve issues with their devices. Samsung will face competition from traditional PC brands like Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, and MSI and newer brands like Realme and Xiaomi.
