The Galaxy F is now getting Android 12 and One UI 4.1! Well, the Galaxy F62 is, to be precise. But this is only the beginning, and until other F-branded phones jump on the One UI 4.1 bandwagon, we'll focus on the present.
The Galaxy F62 (SM-E625F) is now getting Android 12 in India because where else would it get it? The F-branded smartphone lineup is exclusive to India and developed by Samsung in collaboration with Flipkart. With that in mind, it's somewhat surprising to see Android 12 this early, but then again, Samsung's on a roll.
You can distinguish the latest update from the rest by firmware number E625FDDU2BVC3. You can try to download it by opening Settings on your Galaxy F62, navigating to the “About phone” section, and tapping “Software update.” You can also download the official firmware files from our website and install the Android 12 update manually on your phone using Samsung's “Odin” tool.
As for what you can expect from One UI 4.1, the update modernizes the UI and adds Material You personalization options. In other words, you can now easily select a color scheme for your phone's UI that matches your wallpaper.
You also get better RAM management with One UI 4.1, and in this case, better security on the Galaxy F62 thanks to the included February 2022 patch. Check out our One UI 4.1 video below for a quick overview of the latest features, though keep in mind that the Galaxy F62 isn't getting everything the Galaxy S22 Ultra has.
