Samsung has released a major Android OS update to the Galaxy A Quantum. The smartphone is a special variant of the Galaxy A71 5G, and it was launched in South Korea two years ago with Android 10-based One UI 2.0 software. The new update also includes the latest Android security patch.
The Android 12 update for the Galaxy A Quantum comes with firmware version A716SKSU4DVC2. The update is currently rolling out in South Korea and includes the March 2022 security patch that fixes more than 50 privacy vulnerabilities. The new update brings Android 12 along with dozens of new features, including a new UI design, better widget styling, thicker sliders, improved AoD and Dark Modes, improved stock apps, and more widgets for the lock screen and the home screen.
We don't have the official changelog yet, so we don't know whether this is One UI 4.0 or One UI 4.1, but we will update the article as soon as we get our hands on the official information.
If you are a Galaxy A Quantum user in South Korea, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the firmware file mentioned above from our firmware database and flash it manually.
