Samsung has released a new software update to the Galaxy A53. The mid-range smartphone is now getting the June 2024 security update in some Asian countries and most European countries.
Other countries and regions could get the new update over the next few days.
Galaxy A53 gets June 2024 security update in Asia and Europe
The new software update for the Galaxy A53 comes with firmware version A536BXXSAEXF1 in Europe. The update is currently available in Austria, Croatia, France, Ireland, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and the UK.
The update for the Galaxy A53 is also available in Kazakhstan, Singapore, and the Caucasus region. Its firmware version is A536EXXSAEXF1 in these regions. The June 2024 security patch, which is included in the new update, fixes 59 security vulnerabilities discovered in the previous software versions. It doesn't bring any new features or performance enhancements.
If you have a Galaxy A53 in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the new update on your device. To do that, navigate to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download the appropriate new firmware file from our database and flash it manually using a Windows PC and the Odin tool.

The Galaxy A53 was launched two years ago with Android 12 onboard. The mid-range phone received the Android 13 update in late 2022 and the Android 14 update in late 2023. It will get the Android 15 update later this year.
