Samsung has started rolling out its latest security update to the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the US. The update is currently rolling out to the carrier-locked models, and unlocked models might get the update within the next few days.
The latest software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 2's carrier-locked model comes with firmware version F916USQS2GVC8 in the US. The update is now available on Sprint and T-Mobile networks.
The latest update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3's carrier-locked model gets the update with firmware version F926USQS1CVCC. The new software is available on T-Mobile's network in the US.
The April 2022 security patch, which is included in the new update, fixes over 88 privacy and security vulnerabilities. It may also contain general bug fixes and device stability improvements.
If you are a Galaxy Z Fold 2 or Galaxy Z Fold 3 user in the US with a carrier-locked unit, you can check for the latest software update for your phone by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install.
You can also download the latest firmware file for your device from our firmware database and flash it manually.
