Samsung has released the May 2022 security update to the Snapdragon 865 version of the Galaxy S20 FE (LTE). The update for the Exynos 990 version of the Galaxy S20 FE hasn't been released yet, but the Galaxy S20 FE 5G has received the update in some markets.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G780G) comes with firmware version G780GXXS3CVD7. It includes the May 2022 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security vulnerabilities. The update is rolling out in Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Panama, Paraguay, Trinidad & Tobago, and Vietnam.
If you are a Galaxy S20 FE user and live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can check for the latest software update and download it by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S20 FE in late 2020 with Android 10. The phone received the Android 11-based One UI 3 update in early 2021 and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in late 2021. A few weeks ago, the phone also received the One UI 4.1 update with additional features.
