Two days ago, Samsung announced that it would launch the One UI Watch Beta program for the Galaxy Watch 4 series. Now, the One UI Watch Beta program is live in the US, and users can apply to beta-test the upcoming software on their smartwatch. It is only available for Bluetooth-only models of the Galaxy Watch 4.
Samsung says that the new software will “preview new features and UX for the latest Wear operating system.” This means that it will bring design improvements and feature additions to the Galaxy Watch 4 and the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic. You need to have the Samsung Members app installed on your smartphone to enter the beta program.
How to install Galaxy Watch 4 One UI Watch Beta update
Once you install the Samsung Members app on your phone and log into your Samsung account, you can find the One UI Watch Beta banner on the home screen. You can click on it and accept the terms and conditions to enter the program. Once your registration process is complete, you can download and install the One UI Watch Beta update on your Galaxy Watch 4.
You can head over to Settings » Software update» Download and install to install the beta software. However, for now, this program is only available to those who have a Samsung smartphone. Users who have a non-Samsung smartphone won't be able to access the One UI Watch Beta program.
Note that it will take up to two days if you want to withdraw from the beta program, and you won't be able to access it once you leave the One UI Watch Beta program. Once we get access to the new software, we will publish all the information about the new features and design updates.
