After the Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the original Galaxy Fold has started getting Samsung's newest security update. The foldable phone has received the June 2022 security update in the US for the carrier-unlocked version.
The new update for the Galaxy Fold's carrier-unlocked model has firmware version F900U1UEU6HVF7. It brings the June 2022 security patch that fixes 66 privacy and security vulnerabilities, fixes some bugs, and improves device stability.
If you are a loyal Galaxy Fold user in the US with a carrier-unlocked model, you can download the new software update by heading over to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
The Galaxy Fold was launched by Samsung in the second half of 2019 with Android 9 Pie on board. The first-generation foldable phone received the Android 10 update in early 2020, the Android 11 update in early 2021, and the Android 12 update earlier this year.
