As many of you know, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in the USA got the July 2022 security patch yesterday. It turns out that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 wasn't too far behind, as Samsung is now rolling out the July update for its book-like foldable device in the United States.
The update — firmware version F926U1UES1DVEG — is available for the unlocked Galaxy Z Fold 3 (SM-F926U1). The update seemingly includes the July 2022 security patch and not much else.
The July 2022 security patch was detailed moments ago, and the changelog mentions dozens of Android OS vulnerabilities along with 41 SVE items (Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures). Samsung's fixes touch on Finder, the Messages app, and more.
Galaxy Z Fold 3 customers in the United States should be able to download the latest update on the unlocked device by opening the Settings app, navigating to “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.”
Alternatively, SamMobile readers can download the latest Samsung firmware files from our website and manually install the update.
