Ahead of its IFA 2022 event, Samsung unveiled its new Bespoke-branded home appliances, including washers, dryers, refrigerators, and ovens. The South Korean firm says that its new appliances look good and offer higher energy efficiency compared to previous generation products.
Samsung said its new Bespoke home appliances would launch in Europe and the US later this year. The company's new Bespoke AI Laundry lineup, which includes washers and dryers, has been developed in partnership with activewear brand Patagonia to reduce the release of microplastics, thereby decreasing waste emissions. These appliances release 54% fewer microplastics, thanks to special filters, and those bits could've otherwise ended up in oceans and water bodies.
The new Bespoke AI Washer, which features AI Ecobubble technology, can clean clothes without warm water. This, combined with SmartThings Energy's AI Energy Mode, can reduce 70% of a user's energy requirement. The washer also features sensors to calculate load and soiling levels to use appropriate water and detergent levels.
Samsung says that its SpaceMax technology helped it design washers and dryers with up to 11kg load capacity in the same footprint. The company achieved this feat by enlarging the size of the drum.
Samsung's new Bespoke AI Oven can cook food using natural steam from the top and bottom. It offers crispy and healthy food for some dishes. It also features SmartThings and a camera. The camera not only allows you to monitor cooking but also lets you create timelapse videos and share them on social media. Combined with Samsung Health and SmartThings Cooking, it can automatically track your calorie intake.
The new oven features a handleless design and a touch-sensitive button for a minimal look. So it can easily blend with your kitchen interiors. It is available in various modern colors and finishes, including Clean Nay, Clean White, and Satin Beige.
Samsung's new Bespoke Infinite Line has customizable home appliances with a timeless, sleek look. The 1 Door Refrigerator combines a fridge, freezer, and wine fridge, and it will be launched in Europe and the US this year. This lineup is made using aluminum, so it is scratchless and dent resistant.
It automatically opens the door when you touch it and dispenses water when you place a pitcher below the dispenser. You can even add fruits or herbs to infuse water with their flavor. Samsung also uses Tunnel Lighting, which illuminates each corner of the refrigerator, offering even lighting.
Samsung's new Bespoke 2022 home appliances lineup will be showcased at the company's booth at IFA 2022. Almost all the latest home appliances from the South Korean firm feature Wi-Fi connectivity, which means they're compatible with the SmartThings platform.
Hyesoon Yang, Executive VP of the Digital Appliances Business at Samsung Electronics, said, “Samsung Electronics is constantly pushing boundaries to create innovative products that help improve the lives of consumers by evolving and adapting to their needs. With this new Bespoke lineup comes a variety of eco-conscious, smart, and sublime design features that empower consumers to elevate their lifestyles.”
