Earlier today, Samsung released the third One UI 6 Watch beta update to the Galaxy Watch 6 lineup. The South Korean firm has now released the Galaxy Watch 5 One UI 6 Watch Beta 2 update in its home country.
Galaxy Watch 5 One UI 6 Watch Beta 2 update released in South Korea
Samsung has released the second One UI 6 Watch beta update for the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
The new update comes with the firmware version ending with ZXG3 and has a download size of 299.45MB. It also includes the July 2024 security patch, making it the first smartwatch to feature the latest security update.
According to the changelog, Samsung fixed several bugs and performance issues that were noticed in the first One UI 6 Watch beta update.
The new update brings better system stabilization and optimization. Samsung has also improved the power consumption, thereby increasing the battery life of the Galaxy Watch 5 and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro.
Samsung says that app launch and general app usage speed have also improved. Some changes were also made to solve network interconnection issues. However, a bug that stops the AoD display from turning off even when the watch isn't worn, and that bug hasn't been solved.

Samsung could release two or three more One UI 6 Watch beta updates to the Galaxy Watch 5 series before rolling out the stable update.
