Samsung Electronics and European premium TV manufacturer Loewe have found common ground through the Tizen Licensing Program. Today, Samsung announced that Loewe's upcoming premium TV will be infused with its DNA and be powered by Tizen OS.
Loewe released its latest premium TV, called ‘stellar,' today, July 15. This is the first time for the European luxury TV brand to use Tizen for one of its TVs, and Samsung says “This new collaboration […] ensures that stellar will exceed expectations.”
Aside from running Tizen, this Loewe TV stands apart through its unusual design, which features a real concrete back panel.
A stable platform with fantastic services
The advantages of using Tizen OS are many. Samsung never stopped improving its TV platform, and this year, the company introduced a major update with a reworked UI.
Aside from a clean UI and stability, Tizen OS also offers a wide range of exclusive services and features. As part of joining the Tizen Licensing Program, Loewe's new premium TV will offer access to features like Samsung TV Plus, Gaming Hub, and SmartThings.

Samsung first launched the Tizen Licensing Program in 202 in partnership with three ODMs – Atmaca, HKC, and Tempo. Not counting the Licensing Program, Tizen OS runs on more than 270 million Samsung Smart TVs.
