Earlier today, Samsung detailed this month’s security update, the October 2024 security patch. However, it doesn’t mean that the company is done rolling out the last month’s security update, the September 2024 security patch. Samsung is rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy A33 5G that offers the September 2024 security patch.
It fixes 67 security vulnerabilities, making your device safer than before. At the moment, Samsung is rolling out the update to three variants of the device: SM-A336B, SM-A336E, and SM-A336M. The new software update changes the firmware version of SM-A336B to A336BXXSAEXI8 and that of the SM-A336E to A336EDXSAEXI8.

Getting the new firmware is very easy. Navigate to Settings » Software update and hit the Download and install button. The other way to get it is to download it from our database and install it manually using Odin.
Samsung has kept the Galaxy A33 on the quarterly security update schedule, which means that it will offer security updates to the device once every three months. So, expect the next update to arrive by the end of this year. On a related note, the Galaxy A33 is eligible to get Android 15-based One UI 7.0.
