Samsung Internet’s Chrome extension abruptly stopped working

Samsung Internet is quite popular among Android users, especially Galaxy smartphone and tablet users, for several reasons. The company's in-house web browser is quite feature-rich and light on resources.

One of its features is the ability to sync bookmarks across Chrome and Samsung Internet, but that functionality is no longer working.

Samsung Internet extension for Chrome is not working

The Samsung Internet extension for Google Chrome is not working anymore. You will lose bookmark syncing functionality when you log out of your Samsung Internet Chrome extension and log in again.

When you try to log in and enter your Samsung Account credentials, the web browser redirects you to the SamsungInternet.com website, which no longer appears to be owned by Samsung and is currently up for sale through domain name provider Sedo.

It is possible that the Samsung Internet team at Samsung forgot to renew the web domain name in time. It could be the reason why the Samsung Internet Chrome extension isn't working anymore.

We don't know when this functionality stopped working. It could have been days or even weeks since this happened. If you regularly use Samsung Internet's bookmark sync with Chrome, let us know how long it has been since the functionality has stopped working.

Hopefully, Samsung will renew/re-purchase its domain name for Samsung Internet and get the Chrome extension working again.

    Thanks for the tip, Rijald!
