A new One UI 7 (Android 15) beta update has been released for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra. This is the second firmware build and will fix some of the issues that were discovered and reported by users who have been using the beta since December 5.
The update is rolling out over the air in the US and Korea and can be downloaded from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. It should also be available in Germany and the UK today.
This second build for countries in the phase one of testing has also been released as the first update for phase two countries like India. Naturally, those who are in phase one countries will have a smaller download size (around 1GB).
The second One UI 7 beta update fixes an issue with the Now Bar showing app notifications even after an app was closed, and it also addresses an issue that caused the device to randomly restart when power saving mode was active.
Problems connecting to some TVs using wireless DeX have been addressed as well, in addition to errors affecting the redesigned Quick Panel. On the visual side of things, the update improves transition speed between apps on the Recents screen and fixes transparency issues for the Samsung Reminder app widget.
There are other improvements as well, including fixes for crashes in apps such as Samsung Messages. The full changelog can be viewed here.
