Samsung, the world's biggest TV brand, has typically shied away from bringing a few popular technologies to its TVs. Those features include Dolby Vision and Google Cast. We wrote two years ago about how awesome it would be if Samsung brought Google Cast to its TVs.

The company has now announced that it is bringing Google Cast to its entire 2025 TV lineup, but there is a catch.

Samsung's 2025 TV lineup made for hotel rooms features Google Cast

Samsung has announced that it is bringing Google Cast to its entire 2025 TV lineup for hotels. It will showcase its new 2025 TV lineup for hotels at the Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2025 expo in Barcelona, Spain. This new lineup has several TVs, ranging from entry-level QLED models to the new version of The Frame TV.

Guests will be able to cast their favorite content from their phones to the new TVs using a simple QR code-based pairing system. The 2024 version of the Crystel UHD TV (HBU8000) will also get Google Cast. The TVs also feature AirPlay, allowing iPhone and iPad users to cast content wirelessly.

The lineup includes The Frame (HL03F) TV, which uses a 4K QLED panel with a matte finish. Thanks to quantum dots and an innovative dual-LED backlight, it has vivid colors, deep contrast, and lifelike visuals. It has a Slim-Fit Wall Mount, making the TV appear flush with the room's wall.

Its innovative Art Mode allows hotels to customize hotel rooms by displaying a set of classical or modern artworks or customized images to match the hotel's branding. Art Mode starts automatically when the TV isn't being used actively.

Samsung's 2025 TV lineup runs Tizen OS 9.0

The South Korean firm says its new TVs for hotels combine sophisticated designs, cutting-edge entertainment features, and a unified management platform. They all run Tizen OS 9.0 and come with a slightly refreshed UI design featuring squircle-shaped icons.

The new OS also brings easier access to media streaming apps, hotel room controls, and personalized services. You can watch the new UI design in our video below.

Samsung's 2025 hotel TV lineup features LYNK Cloud, which allows hotels to offer customized content, remote device management, and over-the-top (OTT, also known as internet-based streaming) services.

It also has a built-in e-commerce system, which allows users to order in-room service, book hotel amenities, and use the concierge service. Hotel management can gain valuable insights and customize the rooms globally to increase operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

The new TVs also feature SmartThings Pro, which allows hotel management to control TVs and other in-room devices, such as air conditioning, lights, and curtains, and integrate them with existing systems.

Hoon Chung, Executive VP of Samsung DX, said, “Our 2025 hotel TV lineup is designed to elevate the guest experience with personalization at its core. Hotels can customize their room’s ambiance with The Frame’s Art Mode, offer seamless streaming with Apple Airplay and the newly added Google Cast, and enable convenient control of the room environment through SmartThings Pro, all tailored to individual guest preferences.
