The Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra are the latest Samsung smartphones to get the new security update. The devices have started getting the October 2022 security update in various European countries. Other regions could get the new software within the next few days.
The latest software update for the LTE variants of the Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra comes with firmware version N98xFXXS5FVI4 in Caucasus countries, Albania, GernauGermany, Greece, Poland, Portugal, Tom Ukraine, Southeast Europe, Kazakhstan, the Baltic region, the Netherlands, and Uzbekistan. The 5G versions of the phones are getting the new update with firmware version N98xBXXS5FVI4.
The October 2022 security patch fixes over 40 security vulnerabilities, according to Samsung's security website. The phone was launched back in mid-2020 with Android 10 on board. It received the Android 11 update last last year.
If you have a Galaxy Note 20 series device and if you live in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download and install the uopdate by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.
