India’s top two e-retailers—Amazon and Flipkart— are offering unbelievable discounts on Samsung smartphones during the Diwali festive period. One such crazy deal, as we reported earlier, is on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 (INR 59,999). Samsung is also offering the Galaxy S22 at a great price: INR 50,999.

Samsung launched the Galaxy S22 in India at INR 72,999 for the 128GB version. Right now, Amazon India has listed the smartphone for INR 62,999 and is offering an instant discount coupon of INR 10,000, bringing down the phone’s price to just INR 52,999. On top of this, you can get an instant discount of INR 2,000 if you purchase the phone on EMI using an ICICI Bank Credit Card. So the effective price becomes INR 50,999.

Galaxy S22 is a better buy compared to its competitors at this price

For a similar price, you can also get the OnePlus 10T 5G (INR 49,999) or the Vivo X80 (INR 50,528). The OnePlus 10T 5G has a bigger display screen, a faster processor, and longer battery life. But its camera hardware is a huge letdown: no telephoto camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, and worse front camera. The Galaxy S22 might have a smaller display and a slightly slower processor, but it is a much better package overall.

The Vivo X80 is a better competitor. Its processor, rear cameras, and connectivity options are on par with the Galaxy S22. Plus, the Vivo X80 has a bigger screen and longer battery life. However, its 32MP fixed-focus front camera is not as good as the 10MP dual-pixel autofocus unit on the Galaxy S22. Plus, Vivo's Funtouch 12 is no fun compared to Galaxy S22's One UI 4.1.1. Samsung's software is leagues ahead in terms of design, features, and software update frequency.

We think that the Galaxy S22 is the best smartphone you can buy in India right now for INR 50,999.
