Now that we are near the end of 2022, Samsung might not launch any major smartphones for the rest of the year. In early 2023, the company could debut the Galaxy A14, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A74. Last week, the design of the Galaxy A14 5G was confirmed through press renders. Today, the phone's battery capacity has been confirmed.
The Galaxy A14 5G's carrier-locked version (SM-A146U) for the US market passed through FCC certification, revealing a few details ahead of the official announcement of the phone. The phone uses a 5,000mAh battery that is manufactured by SCUD Electronics Co. Ltd. It also features sub-6GHz 5G, LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ax), Bluetooth 5.2, and a USB Type-C port. In terms of 4G and 5G connectivity, it is compatible with these bands: GSM 850, WCDMA Band 5, LTE Band 5, LTE Band 12, LTE Band 13, LTE Band 14, LTE Band 26, LTE Band 29, LTE Band 71, NR n5, and NR n71.
Going by previous reports, the Galaxy A14 5G has a 6.8-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate. The device runs Android 13-based One UI 5.0 out of the box and could get at least two major Android OS updates. On the front, it has a 13MP selfie camera. On the rear, the device has a 50MP primary camera and a secondary camera.
Samsung could launch the device in two variants, one with the Exynos 1330 processor and the other with the MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset. Both variants could have 4GB RAM, 64GB/128GB internal storage, and a microSD card slot. It could also feature 15W fast charging.
