After releasing the Android 13 update to its high-end and mid-range smartphones over the past couple of months, Samsung has released the update to the Galaxy A22 5G. This new software update also brings the latest security patch to the lower mid-range smartphone.
The stable Android 13 update for the Galaxy A22 5G has been released in India with firmware version A226BXXU5CVK9. The new software includes One UI 5.0 and the November 2022 security patch. The Galaxy A22 5G could get the stable Android 13 update in other countries within the next few weeks.
If you are a Galaxy A22 5G user in India, you can download the new software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. Alternatively, you can download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually. Don't forget to back up your personal data, though.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A22 5G in mid-2021 with Android 11 out of the box. The mid-range smartphone received the Android 12-based One UI 4.1 update five months ago. It is eligible to get one more Android OS update in the future.
