We may be getting close to the launch of the Galaxy S5 mini (SM-G800), as Samsung’s Finland site added support pages for the handset earlier this week. There is no image next to the model number, nor is there a lot of information regarding the handset itself, but the creation of these pages tells us that the handset is close to an eventual launch. The device is said to feature better hardware than the mini variant of the Galaxy S4. Thanks to our insider, we know the hardware that the S5 mini will feature once it launches, which includes a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED 720p display, quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU, 8 MP camera, 2 MP camera at the front, 16 GB internal memory, 1.5 GB RAM, IR blaster and a 2100 mAh battery.
The Galaxy S5 mini will also come with the latest version of Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box. The availability and launch of the handset is still a mystery, although it is likely that we’ll see an official unveiling sometime in the month of June.
