Samsung has been working on its Tizen platform since more than past one year, but it hasn't launched any smartphone featuring Tizen. Last week, it was reported that Samsung is planning to launch the first Tizen based smartphone, the Z1 (SM-Z130H) on December 1 in India. Turns out, Samsung isn't launching the Z1 today. According to Tizen Experts, the device should be launched sometime soon, though there's no word on the exact date. Samsung still seems interested in making Tizen based smartphones as it has imported $1.7 million worth of parts to assemble the SM-Z130H in India. The Samsung Z1 might feature a 4-inch WVGA display, a 1.2GHz dual-core Spreadtrum processor, 512MB RAM, 3.2-megapixel primary camera, and VGA secondary camera. Connectivity includes dual-SIM card slots (a popular need among smartphone users in India), 3G, and Wi-Fi b/g/n. We had also leaked screenshots, UI elements, and other things about the low-end version of Samsung's Tizen.
