After updating the Galaxy Note 4 to Android 5.1.1 in recent weeks, Samsung is turning its attention to the Galaxy Note Edge. Android 5.1.1 is rolling out to the curved device in Russia, with the update sporting build number N915FXXU1COH2. The update is available on Samsung Kies and via our firmware section, and it should be making its way to users in the country over the air as well, though we haven't received any confirmation on that front.
Android 5.1.1 is a minor yet important update, with a slew of bug fixes and performance improvements under the hood. You can hook up your Note Edge to a PC and use Samsung Kies to upgrade, or head into the Settings » About device » Software updates menu on the phone to see if the OTA is available. We will be sure to let you know once the update starts hitting more regions; leave a comment down below if you've received Android 5.1.1 on your Galaxy Note Edge and tell us about any changes that you notice after the update.
