The Galaxy Note 10 Lite was updated to Android 13 and One UI 5.0 less than a month ago, and the device is now getting another update. This new update, which has debuted in France, brings the December 2022 security patch to the Note 10 Lite and bumps the firmware version up to N770FXXS8HVL1.
The firmware version reveals that the Galaxy Note 10 Lite's newest update only improves its security. What this means is that it will probably not fix any problems that you may be facing on Android 13 and One UI 5.0 and will only implement security fixes that are included in the December security patch.
As mentioned earlier, the update is currently rolling out in France, but its rollout should expand to other countries in the near future. Once available in your country, you will be able to download it over the air from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. As usual, downloading the new firmware from our archive and installing it on the phone using a Windows PC is also an option.
Galaxy Note 10 Lite will only get security updates (and possibly One UI 5.1) going forward
The Galaxy Note 10 Lite is the only Galaxy Note 10 model that was eligible for Android 13, but it is now on equal footing with its cousins as it won't get any more major OS upgrades. It will, however, continue to receive regular security updates on a monthly basis for at least another year. It could also be updated to One UI 5.1 next year once Samsung launches the Galaxy S23 lineup, though we can't say anything for sure right now.
