Last year, we reported that Samsung is working on a foldable, 4K-resolution smartphone that'll hit the shelves in Q3-Q4 of 2017, though a more recent report states that it's been delayed until the first half of 2018, and now the purported branding for the handset — Galaxy X — has been trademarked by the firm in its home country, South Korea.

Unfortunately, information surrounding the Galaxy X is a little sparse. Recent rumors point towards it featuring a 5-inch display that can fold out, transforming the device into a 7-inch tablet. The company is expected to initially roll out 100,000 units of the unit to gauge market reaction, and there's a possibility that it's already been shown to some attendees behind closed doors at MWC.
