Samsung was serious when it claimed that it plans to roll out the Android 13 update to all eligible phones before the end of 2022. Today, the company released the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update to three generations of Galaxy Z Flip series devices in the US.
The Android 13 update for the Galaxy Z Flip comes with firmware version F700U1UEU5HVK7 in the US. The carrier-unlocked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 5G is getting the Android 13 update with firmware version F707U1UEU3GVK7. The Galaxy Z Flip 4's carrier-unlocked is getting the Android 13 update with firmware version F721U1UEU1BVKB in the US.
While the Galaxy Z Flip and the Galaxy Z Flip 5G are getting the November 2022 security patch along with the Android 13 update, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 is getting the latest (December 2022) security patch.
If you are a Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, or Galaxy Z Flip 4 user in the US with a carrier-unlocked device, you can now download the Android 13 update on your phone. You can do that by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
The international versions of the Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 have already received the Android 13 update.
